Completion of All Requirements for Certification as a Shamanic Healer

All coursework listed for Certification as a Shamanic Healer must be completed
​before beginning the Advanced Curriculum.  

Tier 3 Courses Required

Three courses from Tier 3 are required for the Advanced Shamanic Healer Certification:

All courses in Tier 4 are live and are NOT recorded; thus playbacks are not available.  Live participation and attendance is required.  ​

ALL Tier 5 Courses are offered in the Autumn, which follows nicely from finishing the Tier 4 classes and the Shamanic Healer Certification.

Healing the Relationship with the Earth
- 4 Classes

Many of the People feel disconnected from the Earth Mother.  This class offers a paradigm for helping the People heal that relationship and giving you the tools you'll need to guide that healing.  ​

Healing Trauma - 6 Classes

You have learned about the shamanic perspective of healing trauma.  This course offers a grounded, westernized view of healing trauma, providing the knowledge and tools to supplement shamanic healing. ​

Healing the Relationship with the Creator
- 4 Classes

Unknown to most healers, the wounding and distress lying quietly in the deepest part of our beings, comes from a troubled relationship with the Creator.  This course unveils this hidden wounding, how and why it occurs, then offers you the tools you'll need to help your client heal it.  Profound truths about the nature of soul and life are often revealed in such healing work.  ​

Leading Shamanic Ceremony
- approx. 10 Classes

​Part of stepping into your identity as a shamanic healer is to learn how to lead shamanic ceremony.  This course carries you through the process, providing knowledge and skills to lead ceremony.  ​

Session Reviews and Case Study Discussions

These classes offer advanced students an opportunity to discuss cases, so that ideas can flow and apprentices feel supported in their work with clients.  Some of these classes include session reviews, where the class watches a video of an apprentice working with a client.  ​Apprentices find these class discussions incredibly helpful in honing and developing nuanced skills.  They also often find these discussions to be very juicy!

Possible Additional Shamanic Healing Sessions

As you know by this point, shamanic healing sessions penetrate the depths of you, and your spiritual evolutionary process, roving over many past lives.  The shamanic healing subjects covered in the Advanced curriculum (such as Healing the Relationship with the Creator, for example) are significantly advanced and understandable only after you have yourself been healed in such ways.  And additionally, you are still developing healing power and presence, aided again by the depth of your own inner healing.  You'll need to complete 20 shamanic healing sessions for certification.    The Apprenticeship Leader will evaluate where you are in your inner healing work and may require you to complete additional Shamanic Healing Sessions.

The Vision Quest - Optional

The Vision Quest is wondrous final step in the apprenticeship.  It is one of the most transformative elements of the program, solidifying all that you have learned about yourself and your identity as a shamanic healer.  If you want to read more about this process, please read The Book of the Vision Quest.  

The Vision Quest is offered as an option when the minimum number of participants is reached.  

Basic Information

  • Vision Quest is 6 full days (does not include arrival and departure days, making 8 days total)
  • 4 Full Days in Wilderness; 1 day Preparation with Ceremony; 1 day Integration with Ceremony
  • 3-4 Preparation Classes prior to Vision Quest
  • Medicine Walk prior to Vision Quest (1 day walk in woods for intention setting)

Certification as an
Advanced Shamanic Healer

​​In order to become certified as an Advanced Shamanic Healer, you must have successfully completed all aspects of the Shamanic Healer Certification, fully attend each aspect of the Advanced Curriculum, demonstrate proficiency in both advanced knowledge and skill, and further demonstrate development of presence as a shamanic healer.  Successful completion of each of these elements substantiates your advanced certification.

Full LIVE attendance of Tier 5 courses is required.  In cases of illness or emergency, you'll need to consult with your apprenticeship leader.

Timing of Completion of Requirements
While it is possible to complete all requirements for the Advanced Shamanic Healer Certification within 1.5 to 2 years of your acceptance into the program, you may decide a slower pace, taking up to 4 years to complete all of the requirements.  All requirements must be completed within 4 years to receive your certification.
