personal message from Selena
It is time. This is the retreat you've been waiting for. You will launch into learning the intricate skills of the shamanic healing journey itself. Considering that, you may feel both excited and fearful or any mixture of emotions. Let me reassure you that you have learned more than you realize from watching the healing sessions of your fellow apprentices!
While we will talk about the steps in the shamanic healing journey and you'll use the structure of these steps to guide you in your practice, leaning on these steps fades over time as you respond more and more from the recognized need, often quite individualized, of the client. There is a balance, a dance, between structure and intuition. As you grow in your healing skills, you can learn to be aware of this balance and moderate it as you need, dancing effortlessly between them. For now, focus on the healing skills within the step-by-step structure that you'll be learning. Becoming solid in these steps will only fortify the play of intuition later.
